Ansteel’s building steel applied in Beijing National Aquatics Center National Swimming Center

Structural steel for building in Ansteel includes three series products------high-strength steel for building structure, mild steel for building structure and fire-proof steel for building structure. They can be widely used in high-rise building, large stadiums, exhibition hall,hangar, high or heavy duty industrial building, power station as well as various type of housing construction. The available supply grade and thickness are in domestic advanced level. More than 100,000t steel were already supplied.

Ansteel developed building structural mild steel with aseismicity (ultra-) low yield point.Aseismicity energy consumption utilization test in Tongji University shows that the buckling restrained brace of TJII Ansteel's low-yield point high-rise building shock absorber steel AQ225GJ has good seismic performance. At the end of the test, accumulated plastic deformation exceeds 400 times of initial yield deformation and the test piece had no damage, which meet the requirements of Shanghai Technical Specifications of High-rise Building Steel Structure (DG/TJ08-32-2008).

In case of burning bare steel, the fire-proof limit for the fire-proof steel is 36min, which meets the regulation for the fire-resistant limit (30min) of national building IV beam. While ordinary steel can't meet the regulation. According to the current national standard,test method,coating material, as well as the design definition of high-temperature resistance for fire-proof steel and ordinary steel(600℃ and 350℃ respectively), the fire-proof coating is applied to prevent from fire. Comparing with ordinary steel, fire-proof steel can save half coating. Ansteel developed Q235FR~Q460FR series of fire-proof steel meeting the GB/T 28415 Standard. The table below is high-temperature tensile limit test of bared steel in case of simulating fire. The result shows that it meets the utilization requirements at 600℃ within 1.5h.

Super-thick steel plate refers to the plate with the thickness ≥100mm. Mian purposes: military application including tank, armor, warship, submarine etc.; civil application inclulding building, engineering machinery, nuclear power, hydropower, off-shore platform, shipbuilding, boiler pressure vessel, bridge, die and other important structure.

Advantage of LP plate: the thickness of LP plate can be changed according to its bearing load. Therefore,it can optimize the design of building, engineering equipment and other structural section, which can not only reduce steel consumption and weldings, but also improve operatability through equalizing thickness at connecting points, for example spacer and taper machining can be omitted etc.. Meanwhile it can also improve beauty of the structure. As a  minimization and saving type plate, LP plate is mainly used in the flange of I beam and sometimes in the web plate of I beam and box girder.This kind of high-performance plate can reduce weldings and weight for the structure. Thus it has a broad development prosptect in building, engineering equipment, shipbuilding, bridge, vessel and other industries.
