Steel application of anshan ocean engineering

As the earliest steel plant producing ship hull and ocean engineering steel in China, Ansteel has begun to produce shipbuilding plate, bulb steel and a great batch of imperative steel products for national defense warship and civil shipbuilding industry since 1950s.So far, Ansteel has accumulatively produced 20 million tons of ship hull and ocean engineering steel. In 2010, Ansteel produced 2.85 million tons of such steel, the highest record in the history, in which the plain-strength ship plate accounted for 42%, high-strength ship plate for 53% and super high-strength ship plate for 5%.
The plants for producing ship hull and ocean engineering steel in Ansteel include Ansteel Heavy Plate Plant, Heavy Plate Department of Bayuquan Division of Angang Steel Co., Ltd., Ansteel Hot Tandem Mill,and Tandem Mill of Ansteel No. 3 Steelmaking Plant and Section Steel Plant. Ansteel has the capability to produce 4 million tons of ship hull and ocean engineering steel per year. And its category covers all the ship hull and ocean engineering steel. Ansteel can supply all the steel products for the whole ship.
In the process of R&D of ship hull and ocean engineering steel for over a decade, Ansteel had 32 patents, including 14 invention patents and 18 utility model patents and 40 proprietary technologies.
