On October 25, the first train of the Orange Line Metro Project in Lahore, Pakistan whistled and departed, marking Pakistan has officially entered “metro era”. All the rails were produced by Ansteel Group, and Ansteel brand was once again recorded in the history of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor construction.

Located in Lahore, the second largest city in Pakistan, the Orange Line Metro is totally 27km long and has 26 stations. It is the first large-sized rail transit project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor signed and implemented under the “Belt and Road” Initiatives. Adopting Chinese standards, technologies and facilities, the project enables Pakistan to have the most advanced city rail transportation operating system, providing transportation services for more than 12 million people in an advanced, efficient and safe way. It is a new witness of the friendship between China and Pakistan.

Ansteel became the sole bidding winner of Orange Line Project in 2016 and totally supplied more than 8000t rails. This is the result of Ansteel Group to actively respond to the national “Belt and Road” Initiatives and “Going Global” Strategies, rely on advanced production technology and marketing service experience, keep optimizing global marketing network and resource allocation and elaborate target market. During construction, the production, sales and research teams of Ansteel Group have paid close attention to the progress of the project and organized the production in an orderly way to ensure that the contract could be executed on schedule. Meanwhile good services are actively provided to meet the construction demand of the Orange Line Project. The project has great significances for Ansteel to further explore rail overseas market and establish a better international brand image.
