In order to implement the spirit of 19th CPC National Congress and in accordance with the requirements of national carbon emission management and demand of sustainable development, Ansteel Group formally launched the low-carbon development route formulation work. To ensure the scientific accuracy of this route, it organized and conducted investigations at all production sites, identified and combed the data of companies’carbon emission, performed systematical search and analysis, and carried out the consumption and measurement of fuels and raw materials in line with the techniques of sintering, coking, iron-making, steel-making, rolling, and lime-processing so as to make the medium and long-term carbon plan. At the same time, it invited external specialists to interpret international and Chinese carbon background and policy demands, steel company’s coping approaches, and accounting guide interpretation, which would effectively improve the carbon emission management of all units as well as the formulation capability of technicians’emission report and monitoring plan, and advance the improvement and development of Ansteel Group’s carbon emission permit trading system.
