The creation of the experimental device has provided technical support for improving the quality of casting slabs and new steel grades for the steel industry. The application of electromagnetic stirring technology is one of the most important development directions of continuous casting technology, and also an effective means to improve the quality of casting slabs and expand the casting varieties. The successful development of the experimental device has laid a solid foundation for industrial application of the spiral electromagnetic stirring. The "larger version" of the device will be tested in Steelmaking General Plant of Angang Steel Co., Ltd. later.
