Ansteel Dominated the Market Share by Means of Differentiated Seamless Pipe

    According to the current situation of tough homogenous competition of domestic conventional wear resistant pipe market, Ansteel deeply learned about the market trend, actively developed and spread wear resistant pipe with high grade and improved its market competition by means of differentiated products.

    It’s said that the Product Development Department and Seamless Pipe Plant of Angang Steel Co., Ltd. visited the market and learned about market demands. The commonly used 45Mn2M and 55MnM had become conventional product in the market and homogeneous competition is very tough. According to the situation, Ansteel proposed to implement differention strategy, took the development of high-grade wear resistant pipe as the main direction to improve the market competitiveness of the product and carried out the development of high-grade wear resistant pipe. In addition, Ansteel established a project team of “developing NM600 wear resistant seamless pipe ”, designed and developed high-grade wear resistant pipe, worked out trial-manufacturing plan and production process proposal and made successful production. Through the trial by the customer, the wear resistance of the product improved 25% on the basis of that of 65MnM wear resistant pipe. Now NM600 wear resistant pipe has become the proprietary product of the Seamless Pipe Plant of Angang Steel Co., Ltd. and had a very strong market competitiveness.

    It’s said that wear resistant pipe has become the the second largest category in Ansteel Seamless Pipe Plant besides oil well pipe and has formed high-, medium- and low-grade series products. Therefore, it can meet the demands of different customers and its market share is in domestic leading position.
