Chemical Products Become an Important Profit Growth Point of Non-steel Industry in Ansteel

    Ansteel Chemical Department brings non-steel industry into full play and improves the capability of creating profits for chemical products in optimizing production organization, opening up purchasing path and extending sales market. In the past ten months, the sales revenue for chemical products had a year-on-year growth of 480 million yuan, which has become an important profit growth of non-steel industry in Ansteel.

    The key point for stabilizing production is to optimize production organization and adjust process structure. The department aims at improving the capability of creating profit and focuses on optimizing production organization in refined tar and processing raw materials. The installation of crude benzene unloading device ensures the smooth unloading and processing of raw material for outsourcing crude benzene and improves production efficiency. The mixture of crude benzene and light benzene reduces a set of processing procedure and effectively reduces per ton cost of raw materials. At present, the percentage of crude benzene in the raw material of benzene hydrogenation has reached up to 40%. Meanwhile, based on the market demand, the department adjusts the proportion of pitch and anthracene oil and forms carbon black oil, soft pitch and other new products and improves the added value of the products. It also organizes tar refining working area to work out technical specifications on commencement proposal and process in soft pitch section. Now monthly output in soft pitch section has reached 8000t. The design standard and output was realized in a very fast speed.
    
    “You can't make an omelet without breaking eggs”. Sufficient source of raw material is the foundation of deep processing for the products. In order to meet the production demand, the department actively opens up new purchasing path. Through B-CHEM.com, they carry out open tendering and increase ten more suppliers. Purchasing quantity for the raw material of crude benzene and coal tar increases by 25%. The department repurchases light benzene of Buyuquan Division of Angang Steel Co., Ltd. and breaks through the “direct supply line” to Tongsteel to increase the purchasing quantity of crude benzene and tar.

    Smooth sales channel is the guarantee of making profit. The department makes the expansion of product sales as the one of breakthrough points to improve the capability of creating profit, focuses on developing new customers of pitch, carbon black oil, ammonium sulfate and other categories. In the first half of the year, 16 customers were developed. Meanwhile, the department also strengthens the market development of reformed pitch, stabilizes the market share of refractory in Dashiqiao, expands the sales of carbon black oil, relieves the pressure of pitch sales, and stabilizes the demand of exporters and original large-scale carbon black enterprise at a targeted way. It also perfects the pricing mode of mantissa price, properly improves sales price and increases sales revenue.
