In order to cope with the severe situation of steel market, Pansteel Xichang Steel and Vanadium Corporation under Ansteel Group and Yingli Corporation are cooperating to build the largest roof distributed photovoltaic power generation base in the southwest area. The distributed photovoltaic power generation is a kind of new type energy comprehensive utilization method to transform solar energy to electrical energy. With the installed capacity of 20MW and planned investment of 180 million yuan, the cooperative project is expected to generate power of 21.22 mKWh, save 7639t standard coal and outsourcing electricity expense of 1.6 million yuan and reduce 21156t CO₂ emission. It’s expected to finish all the installation and construction this month and combine to the grid and start commissioning. Building roof distributed photovoltaic power generation project is an active exploration for Ansteel in new energy field, also an important measure for Pansteel to rely on energy saving and consumption reduction to realize cost reduction and profit increment and has a remarkable environment protection and economical benefits.
