Recently, under the great support of Ansteel Group Vanadium and Titanium (Iron and Steel) Research Institute, Pansteel successfully received the conformity report of circular welding assessment issued by CNPC Tubular Goods Research Institute.

Circular welding is a kind of welding method that the pipeline steel is transported to the site after spiral welding or straight welding and then the pipe is connected by manual welding, semi-automatic or automatic welding. Whether the petroleum and natural gas pipeline can be used under the complicated site environment is directly influenced by the circular welding performance. Therefore, the circular welding assessment is an important index in the appraisal review of CNPC X80 pipeline steel. In order to pass the strict review of CNPC Tubular Goods Research Institute, the technicians from Ansteel Group Vanadium and Titanium (Iron and Steel) Research Institute visited the customers and knew their welding requirement. On the basis of studying welding principle, the technicians carried out plenty of welding test and got optimum parameters for different welding methods, which provides strong technical supports for circular welding assessment and also lays a foundation for X80 pipeline steel of Pansteel to enter the market.
