To continuously expand the market space, the project team established jointly by Product Development Department of Angang Steel Co. Ltd. and Ansteel Seamless Steel Tube Plant started to work on development of trenchless drill tube in May 2014. In order to speed up the development progress, the team combined theory with practice by visiting the market and cooperating with two drill tool plants in Hebei province, After having worked out the steel grade and chemical composition, confirmed process parameters of the tube, the team developed successfully quenching-and-tempering treated and end-upsetting trenchless drill tube in accordance with the requirements of users. The feedback from the customers to whom a small amount of product was supplied is that, the machining property is good and every technical specification complies with the design requirements upon the trenchless drill.

    It is known that the plant has made trials of trenchless drill tubes with different strength level, developed Ansteel-featured trenchless tube series of steel grade 45, 27SiMn, 27SiMn-1, 28CrMoB, 28SiMnCr, 4130, AGZJ125, etc, to provide products and technical support so as to meet the needs of different markets.
