On July 28, Ansteel completed five important transformation projects for environmental protection, benefiting people and improving quality including the sintering blending yard of General Ironmaking Plant in Angang Steel Co., Ltd.. The important transformation projects got an initial achievement, which continuously strengthens the capability of Ansteel in accelerating energy-saving and environmental protection, implementing green manufacture, adjusting category structure, improving product quality, concerning its employees and building harmonious enterprise.

    Attending the completion ceremony were Mr. Zhang Guangning, chairman of Ansteel Group Corporation and secretary of Party Committee, Mr. Yin Li, vice secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Labor Union of Ansteel Group Corporation, Mr. Tang Fuping, a member of Standing Committee of the Party Committee, vice president of Ansteel Group Corporation and president of Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation and Mr. Yang Hua, a member of Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Ansteel Group Corporation and secretary of Party Committee of Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation. Mr. Yang Hua presided over the ceremony.

    Since 2013, Ansteel has attached importance on the key problems which had an influence on environmental protection, benefiting people and improving quality and carried out a series of important transformation projects. High fluctuation of full iron and silicon dioxide in the mixing iron-breaing material of sintering sequence had a bad influence on the production quality of sinter. Therefore, Ansteel decided to build an indoor blending yard of iron concentration in the west zone and carry out transportation project to transport the concentration through piping so as to reduce transportation cost and meanwhile improve the environment of the yard. Aiming at resolving the problem of slab balance, improving slab quality and adjusting the product structure, Ansteel made a transformation in 1# and 3# casting machine in the second working zone of General Steelmaking Plant. Focusing on the 21 deteriorated old-type shaft kilns, outdated process, high energy consumption and serious dust pollution, Ansteel newly built 4 gas-burning and mechanized shaft kiln to replace old-type coke shaft kiln, thus realized the production with low cost and energy-saving and environmental protection. In ironmaking area, Ansteel integrated and modified employees’ living facilities and built logistics management and service system with high standard, scaled, intensive and humanization which had a good match with the large-scale layout of modern steel production and high-frequency and fast-pattern production. In addition, Ansteel also built a scenic park with the theme of “Green Steel”------Zhuoxiu Park which integrated with marsh scenery, core water scenery, water-close platform and water proximity scenery.
