Recently, the R&D of high-strength container steel in Ansteel made a great breakthrough. 700MPa cold-rolled super high-strength container steel with the width of 1.1mm and 1.2mm developed by Ansteel Group Iron and Steel Research Institute and Ansteel Tiantie Cold-rolled Thin Plate Company passed the application tests of two customers in China respectively. Therefore, Ansteel became one of few manufacturers to produce such products in China and realized all range of supply for container steel.
It’s said that as early as 2003 the market share of Ansteel container steel has been larger than that of other domestic and international steel plants in the same industry, ranking the first place in the world. In 2007, the single annual output of container steel made a breakthrough of 1.1 million tons. In the same year, “Ansteel Brand” container steel was awarded China Top Brand Product. One in every four containers of the world is manufactured by “Ansteel Brand” products. Since 2011, Ansteel has been dedicating itself to the development of cold-rolled ultra-high-strength container steel and stably promoting the development process by relying on existing equipment and technology.
Ansteel successfully developed 700MPa cold-rolled super high-strength container steel, which is characterized by high strength, high weather resistance, easy formability and painting and good welding performance and is mainly used in the roof plate, side plate and door plate of container. The product broke process bottleneck of high-strength steel plate production in conventional production line and broke the monopoly for only one domestic enterprise to manufacture such strength cold-rolled steel plate. The successful development of the steel grade not only filled gap for Ansteel in cold-rolled high-strength container weather-resistant steel and also marked that the trial manufacture and production of high-strength container steel in Ansteel enter a new stage and full range of supply was realized, which has a great significance to improve the brand image and market competitiveness of Ansteel container steel.
