Recently, more than 2300 tons of nuclear power steel were successfully produced in the Heavy Plate Mill of Ansteel Bayuquan Division and passed all the inspections under the witness of the customer. The nuclear power steel will be applied to the two plants of CAP1400 of the first Generation III nuclear power project in the world, in which Ansteel is the sole supplier. This marks that the production technology and products of typical nuclear power steel in Ansteel has reached world advanced level.
 
In recent years, Ansteel has been accelerating the research and development of technology and products. It was the first enterprise to have the ability and qualification in producing nuclear reactor safety shell series steel, the main equipment series steel of nuclear island, the complete structural part series steel of nuclear power conventional island, and more than 20 kinds of nuclear power steel products in China. At present, Ansteel nuclear power steel has been successfully applied to more than 10 domestic nuclear power plants with the capacity of million kilowatts. Ansteel made an important contribution to the key equipment manufacturing of nuclear power station in China and improving nationalization rate.
