Recently, the No.3 boiler gas transformation project in No.2 Power Plant of Anshan Iron and Steel Company was put into operation. This is the first dual-function boiler in Anshan Iron and Steel Company to use coal as fuel in winter and fuel gas as fuel in summer. Under full load, the boiler can burn 250,000m3 BFG and 25,000m3 COG per hour and save 13 million yuan of power coal cost every month.

The emission of BFG and COG can not only have environmental impact, but also cause the waste of energy. In order to release the emission of rich gas and drive the enterprise make new breakthrough in energy-saving and emission reduction, Anshan Iron and Steel Company carried out No.3 boiler gas transformation project in No.2 Power Plant in May this year. It planned to make a “dual-function” boiler with coal as its fuel in winter and fuel gas as its fuel in summer in 3 months.
